The Introduction to the first trial ‘Challenge’ was essentially filmed in two locations. The initial intro with the dense vegetation was a stage set. We had two horizontal frames set up with wire where all the off cuts were suspended from. It created that mystical cemetery scenery that is mostly found in old European graveyards.
The introduction to the team and to the trainee Micaela was shot at the old ghost town Yerranderie.

When I created the first series of Paranormal Investigators – The Challenge, I was faced with a few fundamental questions: where was I going to shoot it and how was this production going to pan out?
See, when it comes to throwing a bunch of people into a spooky place, including someone who had never been exposed to these creepy conditions before, you never know how each episode was going to end. And that’s the awesome thing about filming in a ‘haunted’ location – you never know what’s going to happen next.

The Manor in series one is one of my personal favourites - It has a good mixture of excitement. Here current and previous investigations are gelled together to form a story of an emotional roller coaster ride of those people who were crazy enough to go there in the first place.

By the time we got to the final shoot (end interviews), we were all shattered. The adrenaline levels were dropping and you could really feel the after effects, especially at 3 in the morning.
Although things started to get a bit quite towards the end, the whole experience at the Manor was nothing short of extraordinary.
