(description repeat) The introduction was shot at three different locations. The initial intro with the coordinator (myself) was taken at Picton cemetery, while the crew shot was filmed at the former Kenmore hospital complex. Because we were running out of light, we only had a chance to do a few takes with the dolly.
The descending clip of the four candidates was taken at ‘The Manor’ with a jib crane, just before the ladies were given their challenge (hence why they were still smiling).
This particular intro was extended for the purpose of marketing the new series, almost like a trailer (
end of description repeat).

As a producer, one of the many things that spur my interest is Australia’s lost and untold historical events.

When I spoke to Guy Filmer, owner of the Bushranger Hotel in Collector, in 2008, he gave me a brief rundown on the historical significance of the hotel.
This gave me an ideal opportunity to film at a location that had a reputation of strange goings-on, and to tell a brief story of a gang of bushrangers that came to town in the 1860’s.

The two-day shoot was hard yakka. As soon as breakfast was over it was all hands on deck. Virtually non-stop from 10am till 4am, it had to be the most exhausting shoot I have ever done, but also one of the most enjoyable ones.
Again, this is a 10 minute condensed version of the original 26 minute episode.
If you’re ever down towards Canberra, pop in and say G’day. The coffee is great and they make a killer steak sandwich!

Instead of uploading another end credits video, I’ve decided to use the one from the first episode. The only difference is the awesome new music, credited to Dominic McNamara, and special thanks to Guy Filmer at the Bushranger Hotel.
